Set-up Team:
Please
wear a GREEN shirt. Please plan to arrive at the parks by 8am.
Bring your brooms, dustrags and sweep out the pavilions, pick up
trash, overall getting the park ready for the display set-up,
helping the folks load/unload their cars. Also, you'll be setting up
the Arts & Crafts area, and basically, getting the park ready for the
public to arrive and enjoy the day.

Meet 'N
Greet Team:
Please
wear a WHITE shirt. You'll greet everyone who arrives with a smile, hand
out the resource bags as people arrive. Explain to the kids the
"Thank You" Drawing and point out the different areas of the
EduFair. This also would include walking around and making sure that
everyone has a bag, answering general questions. Assisting the elderly to
a seat in the shade, carrying the baby stuff for the mom who needs a break
(strollers, play pen, diaper bags) to their picnic spot from their
vehicles. We need at least 5 greeters every hour.

Please
wear an ORANGE shirt and bring a flashlight. Lots of exercise for your
arms and legs, directing the traffic. Make sure there are no pets left in
cars. It's TOO hot for animals to be in cars. I've worked as a
car parker for 3 years in a row at "I Love America" and I
totally agree with the "no pets" rule. No pets in cars.
Assuring that no cars will park on the grass at either location. The
first shift for Car Parkers begins at 8am.

Arts
& Crafts Team:
Please
wear a BLUE shirt. We need at least 2 families working this area every
hour. Please wear clothes that can get messy. Do you like working
with a bunch of kids? Yes? This is the place for you. All the
supplies and directions will be furnished for you. If you have empty egg
cartons, please bring them with you. Also, we'll need everyone to bring a
roll of paper towels and dust rags. We also need paintbrushes of all
sizes to paint these coffee mugs and baby food jars!! You will direct kids with
the instructions and let the creative juices flow. You'll mark the
finished products with names, and some of the kids might want you to hang up
their projects for the world to see. You might need to entertain a little
one as mamma helps her preschooler work on a masterpiece. If you like to
sing, this would be a good spot to fill the air with those fun, clean kidsongs.

Book
Corner Team:
Please
wear a HAT. We'll need you and your blankets to supervise a quiet area
for reading to the kids. We've got several boxes of Scholastic books for
you to read aloud :) The books belong to FIELD TRIPS!!! and are for the
readers and kids to enjoy a moment of serenity and peace. Your job is to
ensure that the books are enjoyed and read :) No coloring or drawing in
the books. This is just a quiet corner to reflect in the world of
books. We'll make sure that this area is NOT confused with the resource
area. We need at least 1 family per hour to supervise this area. If
you have a chess board, please bring it. Last year, there were several
good chess games going on.

Resource
Team:
This is
the "hotspot" of the EduFair. We need you to load/unload boxes
of books, keep the area organized, assist home educators in locating that
"just the right book" and keeping a good lively humor-filled
attitude. Do you enjoy shopping? Than, this is the FREE store for
you to organize and keep the lines moving. We need at least 3 helpers
available each hour.

Messengers Team who help whereever needed:

workers for bathroom breaks, helping me out with whatever is needed.
